Mermaid Nova
Nova is professionally trained as a mermaid and boasts over 7 years of mermaiding experience. She has a PADI license and has done many events over the years. She was part of the Halifax mermaids until their closure.
Nova is now available for bookings as an independent contractor and is available for parties, corporate events and as a guest to conventions. Please contact her through her Instagram for details.
Underwater modeling
Nova has been involved in multiple underwater modeling and photoshoot campaigns for different companies. She is always enthusiastic about collaborating with brands and products she admires.
PADI
Mermaid Nova and Raina of Halifax mermaids did the PADI mermaid certification course in July of 2023! This included safe water practices, breath holds and more.
Community
Nova is passionate about supporting her community and has participated in numerous events and volunteer opportunities. She's ready for an adventure!
Crafty
Much of what you see Nova wearing consists of her designs, including the orca tail she sewed herself, along with crowns and necklaces! She has a passion for crafting, creating, and showcasing her unique pieces. Every item she makes is crafted from environmentally safe materials.
Equipment
All of Nov's tails are either Mertailor or her own designs. However, she exclusively uses Mertailor monofins and bi-fins. Mertailor products are known for their durability and comfort, making them suitable for everyone, from beginners to experts.
Travel
Nova has journeyed all the way to the Dominican Republic with her tails and is constantly on the lookout for her next adventure. From oceans to lakes, she swims wherever she gets the chance!
Conventions
Nova is always for hire for pool parties, events and as a convention guest. She not only swims, but does talks about marine conservation, water safety and how to become a mermaid!
